CITY COUNCIL ELECTIONS

The election will be upon us upon soon. Citizens of District 1 need to stay informed in order to vote wisely. We will try to provide background on the issues that impact District 1. It will be a crucial election in so many ways, here in Pacifica included.

Here in District 1 the incumbent, Sue Vanderhaus, has served her limit of two terms on the City Council. So she cannot run again. This is an opportunity for fresh new representation. So far we have an excellent candidate gearing up to enter the race for this vacant seat – Myra Espinosa.  Myra, an industrious civic minded homeowner, wishes to be the advocate for District 1 residents and their families.

Another candidate is yet to emerge but no doubt one will.

Also District 4 has an open council seat. District 4 does have and incumbent council member, Tygar Bystyck. He is being challenged Mark Hubbell, a popular community activist.
